So I thought maybe I'd do a top 5 list, mostly because I know once I'm done you friends of mine who check this will participate as well, and that could be a lot of fun for me to read. So here is today’s top 5 topic: Video Game Weapons!

And here comes the list of my top 5 favorite video game weapons:

5. Grieve Edge, Soul Calibur 3: Not only did you have to play a Dancer class; you had to play a Dancer class to level 30 to unlock these. But the reward is worth the wait. "You’re all stupid; they expect your weapons to be in your hand! I just duct taped some knives to my slippers, nobody sees that coming.”

4. Anything used by Frank the Ninja, Shadow Hearts-From the New World: Like Joachim before him(see Shadow Hearts Covenant) Frank respects the power of things we wouldn't normally consider weapons; from a bus stop sign to a good quality marlin Frank will wield it, and wield it well.

3. Tommy Gun(x2), Timesplitters 2: Oh how I could defend a base with a pair of these chicago typewriters. Nothing quite like it for clearing out a swarm of gingerbread men after your precious suitcase.


2. Vulcan Cannon, Raiden series: you can keep your fancy lasers, give me spread shot and lots of it! I hate it when I accidentally grab weapon orbs when they aren't red, nothing helps being able to concentrate on dodging inhuman amounts of enemy projectiles like the confidence of knowing that if it's on screen, you're hitting it, don't worry.

1. Poke-Ball, Smash Brothers: People make as mad a dash for these little babies as they do for the Hammer, nothing quite like the anticipation and the feeling of power. "AH-HA! Now I have the poke-ball and I'm gonna fuck you up good, take this and tremble at the might of... WTF?! MAGIKARP?"
